Charcoal and Pastel Portraits
I do quick-sketch portraits at outdoor
shows like Art on the Green and
Yankee Peddler Festival. Relaxed
sittings are great for kids and adults
of all ages. Drawings fit standard size
mats/frames. Charcoal portraits on
toned paper take about 30 minutes -
squirming allowed! $35 each. Colorful
pastel portraits take slightly longer and
are $45. Drawings with multiple sitters -- couples, siblings -- also available in charcoal or pastel.

Interested in art classes?
Private and semi-private lessons for youth and adults are available at my studio. Classes in drawing, painting, mixed media and assemblage are offered with emphasis on working from life.

OUT AND ABOUT IN 2016:
The Sounds of Akron
I was honored to participate in this very unique event! I did live painting of some of the "faces of Akron" at EJ Thomas for the Akron Symphony debut of the "Sounds of Akron."

Uncommon Art comes to Hudson!
I am so pleased to join fellow artists Karen Koch of Life Needs Art, and Dana Giel-Ray of Bellabor Art Jewelry at a new location, "Uncommon Art," 178 1/2 N. Main St., Hudson. Check out our studios and gallery during regular hours, Tuesday - Saturday, 10am-5pm or later and during special events.

2nd Friday Art Hops
Celebrate the arts in Hudson! You'll find a great lineup of artists and art-loving host locations during this spring/summer series that runs April - August. Monthly themes like "living art" keep things lively. At our spot, visitors had a chance to dress as Whistler's Mother for a fun photo op. Visit us in December for our year-end Holiday Hop.

Art on the Green, Hudson - August 27-28
Stop by my tent at this year's show -- I might choose you for a complimentary charcoal portrait! I'll be doing quick-sketch portraits on site and will have plenty of moons and new work to share.

Yankee Peddler Festival, Canal Fulton
September 10-11, 17-18 and 24-25
This year marks my fifth year of being part of this great festival. I love the historical element and dedication to craft that it exemplifies. And I love catching up with friends -- fellow artists and returning visitors.

2015 highlights:
"Expressions of Nature" HSA show
I'm honored that my mixed media piece, "Wildflowers," was purchased by the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation. The show featured work by members of the Hudson Society of Artists.

"Sky to Steel" -  three person show
I teamed up with painter/sculptor Katina Pastis Radwanski and floral designer Michelle Touve-Holland for this show at the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation. Loved the interpretations we did of the same subject matter ... and how Michelle's floral designs pulled it all together. Teamwork!

I created this "Hat Box Kite" for the Akron Arts Alliance fundraiser.

Glow moons, glow!
Whimsical moons show a variety of expressions and each is one of a kind. Look for them at Elements Gallery in Peninsula, H'Art of Chagrin in Chagrin Falls and at my studio at Uncommon Art in Hudson. Space has a face with these fun-loving, sassy, grumpy, quizzical, sleepy -- you get the idea -- moons!

I truly enjoyed having fashion illustrator Corrine George as my guest artist during the Art Hop last fall. Beautiful work ... and a beautiful lady!
"Black and White and Read
All Over." Mixed media.
Thank you to the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation for showing my work along with the work of Katina Pastis Radwanski and Michelle Touve-Holland. What a privilege!
