I create figurative paintings and mixed media pieces that tell a story and much of my inspiration is drawn from the stars. I imagine the Pleiades (Seven Sisters) at play, a procession of constellations and a series of whimsical moons. I paint for the "Keeper of the Stars" and hope to draw others to the ultimate Creator.
There, she began creating and exhibiting artwork, teaching classes and drawing quick-sketch charcoal portraits.
This was followed by outdoor shows and an enjoyable stint at Yankee Peddler Festival.
Casey was a founding member of Uncommon Art in Hudson and active in the Art Hops.

Shannon Casey studied Journalism and Studio Art at Kent State University and later, portrait painting with Joseph Cintron at the Cleveland Institute of Art.
His classes opened up new possibilities and ultimately sparked a change of career.
That leap of faith led her to Peninsula Art Academy.
Her work has been shown at many venues including Peg's Gallery/Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation, Cleveland Botanical Gardens, Cleveland Hopkins Airport and Summit ArtSpace.
She was pleased to be in the Tikkanen Painting Prize, 2022, "Eclipse" show, Summit Art Space, 2024, and retrospective show at Peg's Gallery, 2024.
